Motorcycles collide on County Rd. A

On Sunday morning at 9:21 a.m. the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a crash involving two motorcycles on County Rd. A just west of County Rd. H. The caller reported that three people were injured in the crash. Tomahawk EMS, Tomahawk Fire and Oneida Med 4 responded to the scene.
One motorcycle, driven by a 54-year-old Elkhorn man was slowing down due to a porcupine that was on the side of the road. A motorcycle driven by a 51-year-old Walworth woman was also traveling westbound, behind the first motorcycle. While the first motorcycle was slowing down, she struck the left rear of the lead motorcycle. Both motorcycles fell to the ground due to the contact.
The 51-year-old female was flown from the scene by Medivac to Wausau Aspirus Hospital with head injuries. The 54-year-old male and his 54-year-old female passenger were transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk. The man was later flown to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield with unknown injuries. The female passenger was being treated at Sacred Heart for non-life threatening injuries.
None of the drivers or the passenger were wearing helmets. The crash is still being investigated by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
