Don A. Bessey, born Aug. 3, 1926, in Merrill went to the Heavenly Father on May 24, 2014. Don was husband to Marjorie Bessey, father to Dan (Laura) Bessey, Linda (Bill) McHugh, loving grandfather to Patrick (Jennifer) and Kristen McHugh, Alexxa, Brianna and Danielle Bessey and was preceded in death by brother Calvin (Boyd) Bessey. Don lost his mother at the age of two, living until age 5 with his brother, Boyd with maternal grandparents in Merrill. His father remarried and moved to Illinois. He served in the Navy during World War II in the Philippine Islands. A Memorial Service was held in Roselle, IL. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the church.
