Guenther finds back of cup

Merrill’s Coty Guenther, 19, not only has improved his golf game to a four handicap, but he certainly knows how to knock it dead at times.
Guenther aced Merrill’s #3 hole for the third time recently, then just five days later scored the even-more-difficult double eagle.
Both hole-outs featured a bit of luck, since his shots initially hit down a significant distance away from the hole.
He aced the 188-yard third hole on Thursday, June 12, with a six iron. The third is Merrill’s most difficult par three, with a significant uphill layout. His shot hit on the front edge, then rolled into the hole cut in the back of the green.
He was playing with his brother, Philip.
Coty was playing in the Tuesday league with his partner Jim Woller on Tuesday, the 17th, when he scored the double-eagle on the 463-yard, par-five 18th. After a 260-yard drive, he found his ball approximately 220 yards out and played a three-hybrid club. His ball hit 10 yards short of the green, and it rolled all the way into the cup.
