Severe weather spotter training offered

The Lincoln County Emergency Management office will host a Severe Weather Spotter training course at the NTC Public Safety Center of Excellence at 1603 Champagne St., Merrill, on Monday, June 9 from 6-8 p.m. The class is open to the public (anyone over the age of 15) and free of charge. 
Anyone who has taken the class in the past should have a refresher every two years or so. The 90-minute long class covers severe weather identification, reporting procedures and safety tips. The class will be presented by meteorologist Scott Berschback from the NOAA’s National Weather Service – Green Bay office.
