Kenneth W. Johnson

Kenneth W. Johnson, 70, of Eau Claire, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014, at his home while under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice and his family.
He was born March 23, 1944, in Wayne, MI, the son of Angelo and Alida (Saar) Johnson. He graduated from Merrill High School and attended IBM School in Milwaukee. 
Ken married Sandra L. Munson on Aug. 20, 1966, in Merrill. They had three children together. He worked as an insurance sales rep since 1980 in the Eau Claire area. 
Among his hobbies were fishing, hunting, pontooning and camping. He loved the outdoors. 
Ken is survived by his wife, Sandy; three children, Mike of Las Vegas, NV, Gregg (Colleen) of Eau Claire, and Kim (Mike) Linton of Eau Claire; five grandchildren, Amber (Nate) Herbison of Eau Claire, Ashley, Samantha, Jayden, and Travis; one great grandson, Aiden; a sister, Barbara (Art) Zoellner of Minocqua; a brother, Marshall (Donna) Johnson of Gulf Shores, AL; and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services were held Saturday, April 12, at Saving Grace Lutheran Church, Eau Claire. Pastor David J. Irgens officiated.

Chippewa Valley Cremation Services is serving the family.
