James D. Hodgson, age 56, of Merrill, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 21, 2014.
Jim was born March 10, 1958, in Merrill, son of the late Lee and Lila (Krueger) Hodgson. He married Marilyn J. Kufahl on June 17, 1978, in Merrill. She survives.
Jim had previously worked with Reindl Printing, Merrill, and Endeavor Airlines, Mosinee. He was currently parts manager for Service Motors Company, Inc. of Wausau. Jim enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and gardening. He enjoyed sharing these pastimes and gifts with family and friends. Jim was a member of Bible Presbyterian Church, Merrill.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn Hodgson, Merrill; four children, Amanda Hodgson of Madison, Jeremy (Sarah) Hodgson of Hermantown, MN, Bethany Hodgson of Duluth, MN, and Justin Hodgson of Oak Park, MI; and his siblings, Jerry (Dixie) Karau of Green Bay, Mary (Cliff) Gorman of Kronenwetter, Ruth (Rowe) Zentner of Minocqua, Dan (Karen) Hodgson of Merrill, and Kay (Jon) Schulz of Edgar. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Lila Hodgson, and two brothers, Larry Karau and Bill Hodgson.
A Memorial Service for James D. Hodgson will begin at 3:00 P.M. Friday, April 25, 2014, at Bible Presbyterian Church, Merrill. The Rev. Robert Smallman will officiate. A time of fellowship for family and friends will held after the service is concluded, and will take place in the church lounge. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family.
