Zocher attains rank of Eagle Scout

Brody Edward Zocher, son of Michael and Angie Zocher, was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout on April 6, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill.
Brody started his Scouting journey in 2005 as a first grader with Cub Scout Pack 502 at Kate Goodrich Elementary School.
As a Boy Scout with Troop 503, Brody earned awards, participated in numerous community service projects, and held various leadership positions including Patrol Leader, Troop Guide and Quartermaster. He became a member of the Order of the Arrow brotherhood, attended numerous Cub/Boy Scout summer camps, and participated in Troop service projects (Scouting for Food and Adopt-a-Highway). In addition, he earned 23 Merit Badges.
In preparation to achieve the rank of Eagle, Brody planned, proposed and led other Scouts in the construction of a 6’ high, 66’x 30’ permanent fence around the outdoor garden at Washington Elementary School. His Eagle Board of Review was completed on Jan. 13, 2014.
Brody is currently a freshman at Merrill Senior High School. He is active in football, wrestling and baseball and enjoys the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
