Victor E. Heidemann obituary

Victor E. Heidemann, age 87, of Merrill, died Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services, the staff at Pine Crest Nursing Home, and his family.  
Victor was born July 20, 1926, in the Town of Pine River, Lincoln County, son of the late Frederick and Ella (Laak) Heidemann.  He married Marjorie Turbin on September 13, 1947, in the Town of Pine River.  She survives.  Victor dairy farmed on Range Line Road in the Town of Pine River, and retired in 1988.  During his years on the farm, Victor was also the Town of Pine River Town Supervisor and worked at Northwood’s Evergreen.  Victor was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Town of Pine River, where he was involved with the church council.  He also served on the Calvary Cemetery Committee.  Victor enjoyed fishing and hunting, working in the woods, and making maple syrup and sausage.  Victor was a kind-hearted man who was willing to help anyone.  
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Heidemann, of Merrill; two sons, Tim (Kelley) Heidemann and Scott (Laurie) Heidemann, both of Merrill; four grandchildren, Heath (Danielle) Heidemann, Heather (Jason) Wolff, Ross (Debra) Heidemann and Dirk (Jessica) Heidemann; eight great-grandchildren, Cade, Jack, Aaron, Allison, Alexis, Christian, Tavin and Brynlee; one sister, Mildred Kautz, of Merrill; and other relatives, nieces and nephews.  Victor was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael Heidemann; one grandson, Justin Ames; one sister Dorothy Hojan; and two brothers-in-law, Arnold Kautz and Paul Hojan.  
The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Town of Pine River. The Rev. Susan Christian will officiate.  Burial will take place at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Town of Pine River.  Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the church.  The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
