Elvera Alvina Sylvia Beilke

Elvera Alvina Sylvia Beilke, 92, Wausau, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill.
Elvera was born Jan. 18, 1922 in the Town of Maine to the late Max and Ella (Lambrecht) Nass. She worked as a housekeeper before marrying Hugo Beilke on Sept. 21, 1940 at Wesley UMC, Wausau. The couple spent 20 years on the road traveling from one job to the next following Hugo’s union sprinkler fitter work. Once they settled in Wausau, Elvera became an active member of Wesley UMC, often cooking and baking for the church and she was a member of Hilltoppers. She loved working on her genealogical research and playing samba with family. Later years found her taking bus trips with Hugo all over Wisconsin. Sadly, after 72 years being together Hugo died on June 19, 2012.
Elvera is survived by her siblings, Dorothy Jaeger, Bonnie (David) Radtke, Phyllis (Allen) Buch and DuWayne (Carol) Nass; sister-in-law, Lucille (Edward) Pophal; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Marvin, Rueben and Robert (LoRayne) Nass; brothers-in-law, Algart Mueller, Milfred Jaeger and Alfred Beilke; sisters-in-law, Martha Brandonburg and Linda Buzza.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 23 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Wausau. Reverend Tim Vanden Langenburg officiated. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery at a later time. You may sign our family guestbook at www.helke.com.
