Power outages

Wisconsin Public Service reported power outages to over 1,200 customers in Central Wisconsin this morning. In the Merrill area, there were two reported outages affecting a total of 718 customers. In Athens, 390 customers were impacted by one outage, while another 92 were without power in Marathon and 10 in Wausau. Students at Maple Grove School in Hamburg were bused to Kate Goodrich School in Merrill due to the outage in the Maple Grove area. Crews have since restored power to all customers in the Merrill area. The outage was reportedly caused by a car striking a utility pole on Joe Snow Road.
