Joy L. ?Sally? Hotz

Joy L. “Sally” Hotz, age 61, of Merrill, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, under the care of her family, the hospital staff and Comfort Care & Hospice Services. 
Sally was born Jan. 2, 1953, in Merrill, daughter of the late Douglas and Lucinda (Marnholtz) Kleinschmidt. Sally had years ago worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Merrill. She was primarily a homemaker who logged her land, and enjoyed canning and baking. Sally paid special attention to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 
Survivors include her partner, Arliss Munro, Merrill; daughter, Jennifer Prueser, Sheboygan; one son, Raymond Hanson, Jr., South Dakota; 10 grandchildren, Melissa, Stephanie with husband Joseph, Lisa with husband Robert, Mitchell, Abigail, Ariel, Lakia, Dylan, and Skye; four great grandchildren, Eli, Emma, Phoenix, and LaDainian; three great grandchildren on the way; four sisters, Terry Denfeld, Gleason, Diane (Rueben) Grund, Merrill, Debbie Konkol, Merrill, and Tina Beyer of Jackson, WI; three brothers, Dennis (Bea) Kleinschmidt, Merrill, Jerome Kleinschmidt, Gleason, and Robert (Anna) Kleinschmidt, Arkansas; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sally is preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Lucinda Kleinschmidt; a son in law, Gary Prueser; a grandson, Matthew Prueser; a great granddaughter, Heavebnlei; and a baby brother, Bruce Kleinschmidt. 
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Scott Gustafson will officiate. Burial will follow in Springbrook Cemetery, Town of Pine River. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. The Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family.
