Jeanette A. Prahl

Jeanette A. Prahl, 89, Wausau, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 at Benedictine Living Community, Wausau.
She was born Aug. 8, 1924 in Hatley, daughter of the late Charles and Josephine (Wrobleski) Czech. On Oct. 16, 1948, she married Edward A. Prahl at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2011.
Jeanette worked for many area factories during World War II and worked as a meat wrapper for Dale’s Supermarket and 29 Supermarket. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed going to the casino, polka music and watching TV, especially game shows and soap operas. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include, one daughter, Mary (Lon) Andreski, Merrill; four grandchildren, Amber (Bradley) Mroczenski, Wausau, Ashley (Jason) Engman, Weston, Zachary (Erin) Andreski, Dousman, and Sarah (fiance’ Bob Holub) Andreski, Fultondale, AL; two great-grandchildren, Henry Engman and Avery Mroczenski; one sister, Pauline Adamczyk, Wauwatosa, and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Edward, she was preceded in death by one son, Charlie Prahl, two brothers, Lambert and Leonard Czech; and three sisters, Rose Scheffler, Angeline Raduechal and Mary Ann Hanke.
The funeral mass was celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 18, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch presided. Entombment is in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
