Gordon P. Krause, age 78, of Merrill, passed away, Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Merrill.
Gordon was born Dec. 24, 1934 in Merrill, the son of the late Harry and Leona (Maluege) Krause. Gordon and Virginia (Borchardt) were united in marriage Dec. 12, 1953 in Merrill, a union that lasted 59 years.
Gordon had been a truck driver hauling cars for G.M. for 30 years until his retirement. Gordon enjoyed logging, hunting, fishing, pontoon boat rides, and watching his children and grandchildren playing sports. He was also a member of St. Stephens United Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia, Merrill; vhildren, Angela Steinke, Janesville, Geoff (Karen), Wausau, and Mark, Janesville; grandchildren, Erik (Beth) Steinke, Matthew Steinke, Scott Steinke, Nicholas (Laura) Krause, Zachary (Amanda) Krause, and Sarah Krause; six great grandchildren and one on the way.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date, honoring Gordon’s wishes.
