David C. Neumann, age 72, of the Town of Hamburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013 at St. Clares Hospital in Weston.
David was born May 9, 1941 in Merrill, the son of William and Clara (Mills) Neumann. He attended school in Merrill. He married Barbara Henrichs Feb. 12, 1972 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill.
David had been a machine operator at Lincoln Wood Products for many years. He was a Santa in Merrill to many area children; he truly enjoyed spending time with the kids. He loved to go out with the guys, having lunch, coffee, and conversation. He enjoyed visiting with people and made friends everywhere he went.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Henrichs) Neumann, Town of Hamburg; son, Edward (Christie) Neumann, Evansville; daughter, Christa (Patrick) Pasterski, Merrill; grandson, Chase Neumann, Evansville; nephew, William Neumann, Chesapeake, VA; dog, Sammy; cousins, Janice Hurlbutt, Rhinelander, and Carolyn Neumann, Wausau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Clara Neumann; brother, Jack (Alina) Neumann; and son, Carey Neumann.
The funeral service was held Saturday, Nov. 2, at Waid Funeral Home. Pastor Brian Stolarczyk officiated.
