MHS Choirs looking for ?Messiah? singers

The MHS Music Department will present its annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. The concert will consist of performances by the Treble Choir, Concert Choir, and Vocal Jayz. Additionally, for the concluding portion of the program, the MHS Choirs will again join forces with singers from the Merrill area to sing several choruses from Handel’s Messiah.
Parents, alumni, MAPS Employees, and community members who enjoy singing are all invited to be a part of this special event. The dress rehearsal will be in the MHS Auditorium on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10-11 a.m. Scores and robes will be provided. The group will perform three choruses with chamber orchestra accompaniment. They are: “And The Glory of the Lord,” “Glory to God” and “Hallelujah.” Rehearsals are scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 5 and Thursday, Dec. 12 from 6-6:45 p.m. in the High School Choir Room. Attendance at these rehearsals is not required in order to sing on the concert. You can enter the school through door #1 or door #13.
