In an effort to check and improve water quality, the Merrill Water Utility will be flushing hydrants and the water system on a citywide basis the week of Sept. 23-27 in the following areas: East of Center Avenue on Monday, Sept. 23; Center Avenue, west to Prairie River on Tuesday, Sept. 24; Prairie River, west to Wisconsin River on Wednesday, Sept. 25; South of Wisconsin River on Thursday, Sept. 26; and West of the Wisconsin River (6th Ward) on Friday, Sept. 27.
Residents are asked to refrain from drawing water from 11 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. If problems occur,
