Local author and Merrill resident Jim Finucan has written a novel entitled The Spear.
When the Spear of Destiny is stolen from a secret monastery outside of Tomahawk, WI, the lone surviving member of The Order must take up his last quest to Bucharest, Romania to recover the relic and avenge his fallen modern-day Knights Templar brothers. Will he accomplish this task in time to thwart a coup de tat of the democracy by a team of Romanian madmen?
The book is to be released by Tate Publishing on Oct. 1, but advance copies are available at Ballyhoos, First Street Coffee Station, Mike’s Barbershop and Book World in Merrill; and Old Town Mall, Standard Mercantile and County Market in Tomahawk.
