The 71st annual Spirit-Hill-Ogema 4-H Fair will be held at the Spirit Town Hall Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9-11. The Spirit Town Hall is located 10 miles east of Ogema on Highway 86. More than 50 4-Hers from the Corning All-Stars, Happy Hoboes, Hillbillies and Wilson Workers clubs will be taking part in this year’s fair.
Judging schedule: Friday, 6 p.m., Dogs; 7 p.m., Pets; Saturday, 9 a.m., In-hall Exhibits, Rabbits; 10:30 a.m., Poultry, Sheep & Goats; 12 p.m., Beef & Dairy Cattle; Sunday, 1 p.m., Horses.
A buffet lunch will be available Saturday in the basement of the town hall beginning at 11 a.m. Additional food items including ice cream, soda, popcorn and candy will be for sale Saturday.
Beginning at approximately 2 p.m. Saturday, there will be outdoor games for all ages including the frog jumping contest, egg toss and tug-of-war. Exhibits leave the fairgrounds at 4 p.m. Saturday.
At 8 p.m. Saturday, a program will feature entertainment by the participating 4-H clubs, presentation of trophies, and the announcement of the 2013 fair queen.
