Lincoln County hosts meetings on zoning ordinance revisions

In 2010, changes were made to NR 115 – Wisconsin’s Shoreland Protection Program administrative rule that requires counties to update their local shoreland zoning regulations. In addition, 2011 Wisconsin Act 170 was passed by the Wisconsin Legislature and became effective on April 17, 2012, that also affected local shoreland zoning regulations. Due to these two statewide rule and law changes, the Lincoln County Zoning Department is in the process of revising the Lincoln County Shoreland Zoning Ordinance to comply with the state changes.
The Lincoln County Zoning Department staff will be hosting two informational meetings on the proposed changes to the Shoreland Zoning Ordinance. The informational meetings will include presentations by zoning staff covering the ordinance changes and providing an opportunity for the general public to ask questions and provide comments. The meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, July 31, starting at 4 p.m. at the Lincoln County Service Center – Room 156, 801 N. Sales St., Merrill, and Aug. 7, starting at 4 p.m. at the Town of Bradley Town Hall, 1518 W. Mohawk Dr., Tomahawk.
