Two arrested after ATV crash

On July 4 at approximately 11:56 p.m. a Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputy was traveling westbound on County Rd. A at Hwy. 51 when he observed two ATVs traveling westbound on County Rd. A.
The deputy lost vision of both ATVs, but as he approached Moodig Road he observed both ATVs left the roadway and entered the ditch. Both operators were ejected from the ATVs.
Per the investigation, the operator of the front ATV had missed the turn onto Moodig Road. The operator applied his brakes and attempted to turn sharply, when the second operator did not react in time and crashed into the front ATV.
Lincoln County EMS responded to the scene, but both operators denied medical transport. Both operators were arrested for operating an ATV while intoxicated, first offense. Operators of the ATVs were Ronald J. Domaika and Todd N. Schauer, both from the Tomahawk area. Neither ATV was carrying passengers. The crash remains under investigation.
As of Sunday, the 24 year old Milwaukee man has been released from Aspirus Wausau Hospital where he was brought after the incident.
