Lincoln County Sheriff?s reports, 6-26-13 edition

A 52 year old Merrill woman was arrested Monday evening on a warrant charge. Lori A. Graap came to the Sheriff’s Office at 9:30 p.m. to turn herself in on a warrant that was issued through the Lincoln County Court. The case involves a misdemeanor charge of delivering drug paraphernalia to a minor. Graap was held overnight and was released the next day on a signature bond by a Lincoln County Judge.

A 29 year old Tigerton woman was arrested Thursday afternoon on a warrant charge. A deputy stopped a vehicle on County Rd X south of State Rd 64 just before 1 p.m.; a check on the driver, Jill Christine Phee, showed she was wanted by the Shawano County Sheriff for failing to pay a fine. Phee was taken into custody on the warrant charge and brought to the Lincoln County Jail and held. She was also cited for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating without insurance.

A 38 year old Merrill woman was arrested Friday evening at a Town of Scott establishment after deputies responded to a report of a woman violating terms of her probation. When a Merrill police officer and deputy entered the tavern, they found Michelle Lynn Schwartzman hiding in a closet inside. Schwartzman denied she was in there to hide but claimed she had gone into the closet to smoke. A breath test confirmed she was drinking in violation of her probation rules. She was brought to the Lincoln County Jail and held.

A 27 year old Tomahawk man was arrested early Saturday morning on a warrant charge. Cody O. Brunker flagged down a deputy at 3rd Street and Washington Street in the City of Tomahawk after he locked his keys in his vehicle. A check showed Brunker was wanted by the Oneida County Sheriff after he failed to pay a traffic fine. Brunker was taken into custody on the warrant charge and brought to the Lincoln County Jail where he was able to post bond and be released.

Deputies are seeking information after a series of vandalism complaints were reported Sunday morning. A deputy investigated after a caller reported barricades were damaged in a construction zone. The incident took place on County Rd C east of State Rd 17 in the Town of Schley sometime Saturday night or early Sunday morning. The suspects shoved over numerous barricades and broke off seven of the flashing amber lights that were used to mark them. The lights were all left behind and smashed on the roadway.

A short time later, a resident of the Town of Scott reported criminal damage to property. When a deputy investigated, he found that 13 mailboxes and a Town of Scott road sign were damaged overnight, most likely by a passing vehicle. The damage took place on Fairview Rd, Tannery Rd and Creek Ave. If you know any information about these two damage cases, you are asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 715-536-6272.
