?Dig into Reading? continues at T. B. Scott Free Library

T. B. Scott Free Library invites all area children and teens to make use of free library materials and activities in order to keep learning and growing during summer vacation. Bring your children in to join the hundreds who have already checked out books, attended events, visited the in-house Dinosaur Den play area and the Do-It-Yourself table.
Children and teens may also join the reading club at any time during open hours by completing a reading card recording their reading or listening to books this summer. For more information call the library at 715-536-7191 or visit the website at tbscottlibrary.org.
Generous local supporters, as well as The Friends of the Library, have provided hundreds of coupons and prizes to be used as motivators for summer reading. Several are providing coupons or passes to all participants of the children’s or teen reading programs. They include Lincoln Lanes, Pizza Hut, Hardee’s, Wisconsin Woodchucks, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
Upcoming events include:
Mon., July 1, 6-7 p.m. – Children of all reading abilities may “Read to a Dog” in the library storyhour room on a first come, first served basis. Kodie and owner, Kris Smith, are local members of Therapy Dogs of Central Wisconsin. This program continues on Mondays through July 22.
Tue., July 2, noon-1:15 p.m. – Lunch Bunch begins for grades 3, 4, and 5 with stories, crafts and interactive fun in the community room. Children should bring their own sack lunch. Lunch Bunch continues on Tuesdays through July 30, sponsored by The Friends of the Library. Pre-registration is encouraged. Children may attend any or all of the sessions.
