A ticket sold in Merrill matched all six winning numbers in the Wisconsin Lottery’s Saturday, June 22, Megabucks drawing to claim the game’s $1.4 million jackpot.
The $1.4 million winning ticket was sold at Drew’s Piggly Wiggly, 3404 E. Main St.
The winner has 180 days from the drawing to claim the prize at the Lottery’s headquarters in Madison. Once the winning ticket is validated by the Lottery, the winner will have up to 60 days to choose the $1.4 million annuity jackpot, or the jackpot’s $953,000 lump sum cash payment.
Saturday night’s winning Megabucks numbers were 03, 10, 12, 15, 30 and 41.
Megabucks is a jackpot game played only in Wisconsin, with drawings every Wednesday and Saturday. Jackpots begin at $1 million and grow based on sales. Players receive two plays for $1 and win the jackpot by matching the six winning numbers drawn. The odds of winning the Megabucks jackpot are 1:7 million.
The last Megabucks jackpot winner was Michelle Grant of Denmark. Grant won $4 million in the April 13 Megabucks drawing on a ticket she purchased in Kewaunee.
As of Tuesday, the $1.4 million jackpot prize had not yet been claimed.
Wisconsin Lottery luck continued locally Monday night as another Merrill ticket won half of a $164,000 prize in the Lottery’s Badger 5 daily jackpot game.
The winning Badger 5 ticket in Merrill will split Monday night’s $164,000 jackpot with another winning ticket sold in Hurley. Each ticket is worth $82,000.
The $82,000 Merrill ticket was sold at Pine Ridge Convenience Store, 3350 E. Main Street.
