The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has issued a special alert notification regarding Christopher D. Meindel, 36, who is being sought after absconding from probation May 14. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit is actively searching for Meindel and has an arrest warrant for him.
Meindel has two active felony warrants from Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office for operating multiple methamphetamine labs, and is also wanted by the Department of Corrections Probation and Parole. He is known to have ties to a White Supremacy group and Sovereign Citizen Groups, and is armed with a handgun. According to the alert, Meindel has made comments that he will not be taken without a fight. Law enforcement considers Meindel to be extremely dangerous.
Meindel was arrested and charged in connection to the November 2012 discovery of a meth lab in the town of Corning. Meindel was living at a probation / parole housing unit on East Main Street in Merrill while awaiting further court appearances. On Tuesday, May 14, Meindel reported to his probation agent for a regular meeting. When he was requested to take a urine test to check for the presence of drugs, Meindel refused and fled the office.
He is described as 5’10”, 170 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. He has multiple tattoos on both arms.
