Peter Pawelka

The obituary of Peter Pawelka, Golden Living Center, 428 N. Sixth St., Tomahawk, WI.
Peter moved to Tomahawk in 2011 after living most of his life in Milwaukee. He worked for Allis-Chalmers in Milwaukee for over 30 years, retiring in 1977.
Peter and his wife Blanche owned a cottage north of Tomahawk for many years. He loved fishing, gardening, playing bingo, bowling and golf. He was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Peter enlisted in the Army on Dec. 18, 1942, serving his country during World War II. He was discharged Feb. 14, 1946 at Fort Sheridan, IL.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Pawelka, sister Helen Cyskiewicz and brothers Michael and Joe.
He is survived by his wife Blanche (Bonnie), daughter Marsha C. Phelps (Charles R.), Harrison, WI, sons Richard, Pflugerville, TX, and Mark, Chicago, IL, granddaughter Kristin K. McLean (Grant), Chicago, IL, grandson Nicholas C. Phelps (Heather), Merrill, along with two great granddaughters Elizabeth K. McLean, Chicago, IL, and Aurelia J. Phelps, Merrill.
Visitation will be June 13, 2013, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Schaff Funeral Home, New Berlin, WI, with a service at 1 p.m. at the Schaff Funeral Home with burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin, WI.
