Merrill Armory project approved by Building Commission

The State of Wisconsin Building Commission last week approved several key projects across the state including:
• Renovations to the Department of Military Affairs’ Armory locations in Abbotsford, Antigo, Beloit, Clintonville, Fond du Lac, Fort Atkinson, Janesville, Merrill, Neillsville, New Richmond, Tomah, Watertown, Waupaca, Kenosha, and Sussex; and
• The construction of two projects that were enumerated in the 2011-13 budget that Governor Walker signed into law: Pheasant Hatchery Facility in Poynette and a Visitor Support and Administrative Building at the Flambeau River State Forest.
“Today, the Building Commission approved projects that effect all areas of the state,” said Governor Scott Walker, who chairs the Building Commission. “I will continue working with Commission members to identify key projects that effectively and efficiently utilize taxpayer funds.”
