He was a member of the Nite Riders Motorcycle Club in which he remained with many true and loyal friends.
He is survived by two daughters, Catherine Van Slate and Calli Van Slate, both of Rothschild; his mother, Jutee (Jim) Lohff, Merrill; his father Gerald ‘Big Jer’ (Barbara) Van Slate, Wausau; one brother, Jay Van Slate, La Crosse; one sister, Shari Van Slate, of Tampa, FL; two step-sisters, Alexa Flood, of Eau Claire, and Christina Lohff, of Cumberland; and three nieces, Tonia, Angel and Mayahna, of Wausau.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. A private family memorial service will be held thereafter.
