Merrill High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members competed at Midstate Technical College on Saturday, Feb. 2. While at the conference members attended an opening session by Mr. Mark Weddig, Principal at Pittsville High School and then competed in their events. FBLA has over 60 events for members to choose from. Students can take a written test on economics or give a presentation on Business Ethics. Students prepare for this day by studying and taking practice exams.
Students who place in the top 3 of each event earn the right to compete at the State Leadership Conference. This year’s State Leadership Conference is being held in Wisconsin Dells on April 15 & 16. Students who have competed are on their way to Igniting Innovation.
