On March 24, the latest wedding fashions, colorful wedding decorations and aroma of tantalizing cuisine will fill the arena at the Smith Center, 1100 Marc Drive, Merrill. The Smith Center will host the Celebrations Bridal Expo, where brides can plan a wedding in just one afternoon or just gather some ideas for their special day. The Celebrations Bridal Expo will be open from Noon – 4 p.m.
The Expo will feature bridal vendors, such as wedding decorators, clothing and jewelry, boutiques, photographers, venues and florists who will showcase the latest in wedding trends. Attendees can sample wedding cuisine and delectable cakes from well-known caterers and bakeries.
The Celebrations Bridal Expo will also feature a Cake Dive. This is a new concept to this area so this should be one of the biggest hits for the show. This by far will be the most talked about event during this year’s show. Ten lucky brides will have the opportunity to search for ten different wedding bands within a huge cake to win ten different fabulous prizes. Brides can register to participate in the cake dive upon arrival at the show and will be selected randomly from among all who have registered to participate in this activity. The cake for the Cake Dive will be provided by Ballyhoos of Merrill.
Another unique event held at the Celebrations Bridal Expo will be the “Man’s Cave,” sponsored by Courtside Furniture, Merrill. The guys can play poker, drink some craft beers provided by The Beacon and sample some food, while watching a game on the 73-inch TV. With their partners busy in the man cave, future brides will be able to explore the rest of the Bridal Expo, all under the same roof.
Local bridal boutique, Satin Plus Silks will hit the runway at 1:30 p.m. The runway show will feature all the newest fashions in bridal wear, mother of the bride dresses, bridesmaid dresses, miniature bridal wear and more. The fashion show will feature formal wear and special occasion dresses perfect for the big wedding day. The Bridal Hair Show presented by Utopia Salon is another part of the Celebrations Bridal Expo. Utopia will feature all the latest hair fashion trends for the brides, grooms and mother of bride and bridal party.
