Mary Jo LeSage, age 55, of Merrill, died unexpectedly at her home of natural causes on January 25, 2013.
She was born August 24, 1957 in Merrill to the late Clarence & Dorothy (Berndt) LeSage.
Mary Jo graduated from Merrill High School, class of 1975. She then attended NTC where she received her Associates Degree in Accounting. Mary Jo had been employed at Krause Howard & Company, SC for many years until becoming the Parish Secretary at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She served on many committees at St. Francis, including the Parish Council, Liturgy Committee, organizing the Parish Library and organist. Mary Jo also completed the Lay Ministry Program and enjoyed leading the Communion Services. In 2008, she was part of a core group of people who established The Little Flower Eucharistic Adoration Chapel. Most recently, Mary Jo served as the Parish Liturgist, helping in many areas of worship for the church and school. She enjoyed many types of music, playing the piano, playing in the hand bell choir, visiting with friends, going out to a good fish fry and traveling. Mary Jo made several trips to Rome and the Vatican, making a point to see different areas each time.
Mary Jo is survived by her cousins, close friends and her parish family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 6:00 PM Monday, February 4, 2013 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Fr Mike McLain and Fr Joseph Kleinheinz will officiate.
