Church Mutual announces three promotions

Church Mutual Insurance Company President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Ravn has announced the promotions of one present and two new officers at the 115-year-old property and casualty insurer.
Effective Jan. 1, 2013, Mark Steinberg has been promoted to Vice President – Broker/Specialty Markets. He has served as Assistant Vice President – Broker/Specialty Markets the past year. Prior to that, Mark was Broker/Agent Division Manager for two years.
Steinberg has a bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University, has earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation and is an Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI).
He formerly worked at another national insurance company where he held expanding roles of account representative, field sales manager, regional sales manager, vice president – marketing, vice president – sales business center, senior vice president and general manager – sales business center and president.
Also effective Jan. 1, 2013, Dawn Lemke has been named Assistant Vice President – Chief Compliance Officer. Lemke has served as Compliance Director for the past three years. Prior to that, she was Account Executive for Group Sales and Special Accounts for three years. She started her Church Mutual career as Senior Claims Attorney from 1994 through 2006.
Lemke has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and a juris doctorate degree from Hamline (Minn.) University School of Law. She has earned CPCU, Associate in Management and Associate in Insurance Services designations.
Effective Feb. 1, 2013, Cindy Brandt will become Assistant Corporate Secretary.
Brandt joined Church Mutual in August 2006 as Assistant to the President and Executive Vice President. Prior to that, she worked for 13 years as a paralegal and in executive administration in the legal, general business and finance areas.
She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Rutgers University and an associate degree in paralegal studies at Raritan Valley Community College, both institutions in New Jersey.
