Ministry Good Samaritan welcomes new physical therapist

Ministry Health Care is pleased to welcome Physical Therapist Tony Friese to the Rehabilitation Services Staff at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill.
A 1990 graduate of The University of Wisconsin La Crosse, Friese has more than 20 years of experience in outpatient physical therapy, treating a wide range of patients of all ages.
Friese has special interest in working with patients with dizziness or imbalance issues. He earned a competency certification in vestibular rehabilitation from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia in 2006. In previous practice experience, he developed and implemented a vestibular rehabilitation program that included working with physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with balance issues. For the past two years, Friese has been working at an Ear, Nose and Throat Practice in Marinette, Wisconsin, for the purpose of furthering his specialization in this area of therapy.
“I am excited to return to north-central Wisconsin and use my recently gained knowledge and experience to help patients with balance issues in the Merrill area,” said Friese. Additionally, he has an ongoing interest in treatment of painful disorders that involve the back, neck, shoulder, arm, hip, knee and foot/ankle. “By utilizing a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and neuromuscular re-education techniques, I work with my patients to address painful problems,” added Friese.
