THS shreds Colby

The Hatchet swimmers crushed Colby 118-56 in Thursday’s home dual meet.
“Fantastic swimming by the lady Hatchets,” THS coach Theresa L’Esperance said. “Freshman Mikhayla Kleich set four personal records in her events, as well as hurdling into the top-ten all-time records in the 200 and 500 freestyle.”
Tomahawk swept several events including the 200 free (Kleich, 2:14.65; Hannah Schmit, 2:25.12; Madeline McPherson, 2:32.16), the 200 IM (Karli Cecil, 2:39.13; Michaela Galganski, 2:45.96; Mary Galloy, 2:52.69), the 100 fly (Morgan Weber, 1:14.76; Kelsey Maki, 1:15.07; Taylor Hansen 1:15.71), the 500 free (Kleich, 6:05.56; Cecil, 6:11.94; Schmit 6:35.49), the 100 back (Maki, 1:12.62; Sami Kleich, 1:14.63; Galloy, 1:20.03), and the 200 free relay (Galganski, Baylee Dallman, Schmit, Cecil, 1:54.79; McPherson, Hansen, Katherine Russell, M. Kleich, 1:55.53; Hiedi Massa, Emily Zurfluh, Nicole Nerva, Sarah Bartz, 2:01.64).
They went 1-2 in the 200 medley (Russell, Galganski, Maki, Weber, 2:03.41; S. Kleich, Massa, Hansen, Galloy, 2:12.55) and 400 free (Weber, Cecil, M. Kleich, Schmit, 4:12.53; Nerva, Maki, Dallman, S. Kleich, 4:28.21). THS placed 1/3 in the 50 free (Weber, :26.30; Russell, :28.74) and 100 brea (Galganski, 1:17.74; Massa, 1:27.39).
