Patrick Errol Flynn, 73, Merrill Wi. died Wednesday May 2, 2012 at Ministry Good Samaratin Hospital, Merrill.
He was born May 22, 1938 to Paul and Edna (Oakes) Flynn in Merrill. He was a 1956 graduate of Merrill High School.
After graduation Pat enlisted in the United States Navy, serving during peace time.
Pat owned and operated a full service Standard Oil service station in Merrill prior to his employment with Brokaw Paper Mill where he worked until the time of his retirement.
He had a love for old cars, his vehicle of choice being the Pontiac Grand Prix. He enjoyed going to car shows in Iola, Merrill, and Antigo each summer. Pat was able to realize a dream he had to visit Harrahs Auto Museum in Reno, Nevada. Another of his passions was to attend tractor pulls around the State that his son Paul participated in.
Survivors include his constant companion and Fiance’ Gloria Northrup, daughter Shelli (Cory) Muth, and children Sarah, Heather, and Bailee of Merrimac, Wi. son Paul (Angie) Flynn and children Lola and Shawn of Waunakee, Wi. daughter Jennifer (Shawn) Martin and Children Cassidy and Sawyer, Deforest, Wi. Grandsons David and Dustin Bruenig, and Great Granchildren Steven and Alayah. He is further survived by caregiver and special friend Judy Swanson.
Patrick was preceeded in death by his parents, a brother Lee, sister Ruth and daughter Susan.
Per Pats request there will be no services. Taylor Stine Funeral home is assisting the family with cremation. Private family commital will be held at a later date.
