Eldred F. “Buzzy” Plautz, age 78, of the town of Texas, Marathon County, died Friday, May 11, 2012, at Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill.
Buzzy was born August 4, 1933, in Wausau, son of the late Richard and Ella (Kufahl) Plautz. He married Rose Mary Oesterreich in 1957. She survives. Buzzy had dairy farmed in the town of Texas. He enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, NASCAR, polka dancing, playing his accordion, and playing cards and dice games with his grandchildren.
Buzzy is survived by his wife, Rose Mary Plautz, town of Texas; son, Myron (Michele) Plautz of Forest Lake, Minnesota; daughter, Jo Marie (Chris) Ostrowski, Merrill; and (5) grandchildren, Tracy, Kate, and Ben Plautz, and Bradley and Kyle Ostrowski; and (2) special relatives, Marion Plautz and Larry Hotchkiss, both of Wausau.
The Plautz family wishes to thank Woodland Court, Merrill, for the wonderful care given to our husband and father during his stay there.
The funeral will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. The Rev. David Faulkner will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, and after 9:30 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
