Roxann L. Bialecki

Roxann Loretta (Bergs) Bialecki, Age 62, died Saturday, February 11, 2012 in Appleton peacefully with in the presence of her loving children and grandchildren following a 2 year courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Wausau, April 14, 1949 the daughter of Norbert and Dolores M. (Kordus) Bergs. She had graduated from NTC in 1988 with a nursing degree. She had worked at Wausau Insurance and the Health Care Center for a number of years. She was then employed by Pine Crest Nursing Home from 1983-1988, and worked for Wausau Hospital from 1988-1998, before returning to Pine Crest in 1998 until 2011.
Roxann enjoyed fishing, reading, crocheting, gardening, flowers and taking walks. Playing cards with her family were some of the moments she treasured most. She had been an avid blood donor, was a member of the St. Francis Choir from 1979 until recently, and enjoyed volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul. She had made each of her children a special cake each year for their birthdays, and loved spending time with her grandchildren, Logan and Jordan. Roxann also enjoyed traveling, some of her travels took her to California, Colorado, Hawaii, Florida, Washington D.C. and Punta Cana.
Survivors include her children: Gregory Bialecki, Wausau, Nathan Bialecki, Schofield, Stephanie (Robert) Denson, Appleton, Cheryl Bialecki, Schofield, Rhonda (Ben Schmidt) Bialecki, Evansville, WI, Rebecca Bialecki, Wausau,
Mother: Dolores Bergs,Marathon, Sisters and brothers: Sister Paulette Bergs, Plover, Maxine (Lee) Beach, DePere, JuliAnn Bergs, Green Bay, Frank (Deb) Bergs, Rowlett, TX, Tim (Sue) Bergs, Baraboo, WI , Peter Bergs, Marathon, Bill (Mary) Bergs, Janesville, Mark (Jane) Bergs, Edgar, Brother-in-law: Harold Matis, Mosinee. 2 grandchildren Logan and Jordan, and her puppy Lillie. Friends: Frieda Swanson, and Dottie Hughes.
She was preceded in death by her father Norbert Bergs and sister, Suzette Matis.
Funeral Mass will be 11:30 AM, Wednesday, February 15, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Fr. Joseph Kleinheinz will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday at the Waid Funeral Home form 4-8PM, and again on Wednesday from 10 AM until 11AM. The Rosary will be 7PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Francis Cemetery at a later date. If desired memorial contributions may be made to the family to be donated to the charity of their choice.
