Katheryn (Jones) Young passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Hospice House in Wausau.
She was born November 21, 1940 to Leonora (Hottenstein) Jones and Owen J. Jones in Merrill, Wisconsin, and was raised in the Gleason, Wisconsin, area.
Katheryn leaves behind her brother, Robert (Connie) Jones, Gleason; sister, Louise (Alfred) Schmidt, Merrill; cousins and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Phillip John Jones and James Edward Jones; one sister: Rose Marie Jones; and her husband, James Clyde Young in 1979. After her husband died, Katheryn never remarried.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 17, 2012, at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church. The Rev. Al Beversdorf will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be given to Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Gleason, in Katheryn’s name.
