Milton W. Schult

Milton W. “Milty” Schult, age 81, of Merrill, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Milton was born May 6, 1930, in Merrill, son of the late Anton and Mathilda (Woller) Schult. He married Ida Klade on April 5, 1986, in Merrill. She survives. Milton was a retired employee of Mid-State Pallet Manufacturing. He had also worked at the former Northern Door, Merrill, and Wausau Lumber Sales. Milton served in the U.S. Army from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1957. He enjoyed listening to polka music; spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren; and playing cards.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Schult, Merrill; his children, Susan (Mrs. Andrew) Seliger, Sally (Mrs. Charlie) Meyers, Janice (Mrs. Jerome) Cole, Joyce (Mrs. Steve) Stadler, Jody (Mrs. Willy) Maulson, Jill (Mrs. Chad) Pehlke, and Mary Klade, all of Merrill; Joe (wife, Darlene) Wimmer, Merrill, and Frank (wife, Joann) Wimmer, Michigan; a daughter in law, Tera (Mrs. Todd) Neiter, Wausau; 49 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one sister, Orella Holtz, Wausau; and one brother, Eldor Schult, Merrill; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by one son, Jim Savaske; one sister, Viola Wiesmann; and two brothers, Lawrence and Norman Schult.
The funeral will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Scott Gustafson will officiate. Burial will take place in Snow Hill Cemetery, Town of Scott, with graveside military rites conducted by the Merrill V.F.W. Post 1638 Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and at the church on Tuesday after 9:30 A.M.
