If you have items you’d like to sell over the Internet, but the process seems like too big of a hassle, a new Merrill business is ready to assist you.

zINTER NET Sales & Consignments opened this week at 423A Grand Ave. Their business is handling the sale of customers’ items on eBay, the world’s largest internet auction site.

When customers bring items in to zINTER NET Sales, owners Kyle and Sally Zinter will take care of researching the item’s value, photographing it and providing a professional listing on eBay. After the sale, the business will collect fees from the buyer, package the item and ship it to the buyer. All costs and fees are part of the zINTER NET Sales commission.

Just about anything of value can be listed for sale on eBay, including electronics, collectible and vintage items, and vehicle parts. Kyle will do the research to see if there is a market for a customer’s item. “If I don’t think it’s worth listing, I’ll tell them,” he said.

Kyle has been selling items on eBay for about 10 years and has a 100 % positive feedback rating.

“I’ve sold everything from small items to vehicles,” Kyle said.

He has sold a 1958 Cadillac that was shipped to Switzerland, and has shipped other items to Norway, Brazil and England.

He’s savvy to the rules of the auction site and also has the experience to avoid the scam artists that have become a hazard to online sales.

He can also help people find items they may be seeking.

Internet auction sites have become the preferred marketplace for buyers and sellers of rare items because of the global access.

“It truly is the world wide web,” Kyle said.

The Zinters will also be buying and selling antiques out of their shop.

Kyle is an independent sales rep and has been working out of his home office for a number of years.

“I’m not quitting my day job, but I’ll be able to do both,” he said. “We wanted a family business that my wife and son and I myself can all do.”

zINTER NET Sales is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturdays by appointment. A grand opening will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7. The business can be reached at 715-536-2916 or by email at [email protected].
