Jean R. Hall, age 83, of Merrill, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill, under the care of her family, the Bell Tower staff, and Ministry Home Care Hospice.
Jean was born Nov. 9, 1928, in Merrill, daughter of the late Elmer and Mathilda ‘Tillie’ (Johnson) Wold. She married Martin ‘Bud’ Hall on April 17, 1948, in Merrill. He survives.
Jean was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Stephens United Church of Christ, Merrill, and also the Mission Guild of the church. Jean enjoyed playing cards; crossword puzzles; and volunteering at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill.
Survivors include her husband Martin ‘Bud’ Hall, Merrill; two sons, Jeff (Darlene) Hall, Merrill, and Kevin (Susan) Hall, Garden City, MI; (4) grandchildren, Matt Hall, U.S. Marine Corp at Camp LeJune, North Carolina, James Hall, Germantown, Catie Hall, Westland, MI, and Rhianan Hall, Garden City, MI; (2) step grandsons, Ryan Multerer, San Diego, CA, and Jacob (Nicole) Multerer, West Bend; and (2) step great grandchildren, Isabella and Colton Multerer, West Bend. Jean is preceded in death by (2) sons, infant Brian Hall in 1961, and his twin brother, Bruce Hall, in 1976; (1) granddaughter, Jennifer Hall; (1) great grandson, Joshua James Hall; (2) sisters, Olga Wold and Marge Odegard; and (1) brother, Donald Wold.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at St. Stephens United Church of Christ, Merrill. Pastor Missy Holdorf will officiate. Entombment will be Merrill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
