Tanya L. Schug, 38, of Merrill, was fatailly injured in a farming accident on Tuesday in the town of Corning. According to a Lincoln COunty Sheriff’s Department report, Schug was riding on a hay wagon which was being towed by a farm tractor when the accident occurred. At 6 p.m. a 911 call reported a woman had fallen off a wagon and was not breathing at a resident on State Rd. 64. Deputies, along with Merrill EMS and the town of Corning Fire Department and First Responders all responded to the scene. Spirit II was also summoned to respond. The victim was transported to Ministry Good Samaritan Health Center where she was pronounced dead by the Lincoln County Coroner.
