Tami K. Gaeu

Tami K. Gaeu, age 44, Manhattan, New York, died Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Bellview Hospital Center in Manhattan, with her loving family at her side.
Tami was born August 5, 1966, in Merrill, the daughter of James and Doreen (Wendt) Gaeu.
She received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Communication Disorders from U.W. -Eau Claire; a Master of Arts in Audiology from the University of Northern Colorado; an Audiology Externship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota; and an Intraoperative Monitoring Externship at Washington University School of Medicine/Washington University Medical Center Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
Tami was Associate Manager at American Hearing Aid Associates in the Greater New York City Area/Medical Practice. She began her Audiology practice in Warren, Pennsylvania, then Madison, Minnesota. She had also been employed at Nicolet Biomedical in Madison, Wisconsin, Oticon in New Jersey, and Siemens Hearing Instruments in Siemens, New York.
Tami enjoyed the company of her pet cats. She also enjoyed traveling throughout the world, especially her visit to China.
Tami is survived by her parents, James and Doreen Gaeu , Merrill; her sister, Connie Fryman, Elsmere, Kentucky; her brother Terry (fiance, Jill Rydell), Merrill; her nieces and nephews, Nick and Michelle Gaeu, Elisa Harrer, and Michael, Mikayla, and Matthew Fryman; her grandmothers, Ella Gaeu and Eleanor Wendt; her precious cats Cosmo, Gracie, and Daisy; and many special friends. Tami is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Edwin Gaeu and Alvin Wendt.
The funeral will be at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Faith Lutheran Church, Town of Maine, Marathon County. The Rev. Kevin Hoogland will officiate. Burial will be in Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery – West, Town of Scott, Lincoln County. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and at the church on Saturday beginning at 11:00 A.M.
