Katherine C. Kuehmichel, age 85, of Merrill, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill.
Katherine was born May 8, 1926, daughter of the late Albert and Violet (Habeck) Stubbe. She married Elmer Kuehmichel on January 12, 1946, in Marshfield. He preceded her in death on May 22, 2004. Katherine had worked as an administrative assistant at the former Oconomowoc Canning Company, Merrill. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill, where she was involved with the Ladies Aid and the Altar Guild. Katherine enjoyed reading, and playing card games and BINGO. Katherine also enjoyed going on shopping trips with her girlfriends, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include four sons, Ryan (Lynn) Kuehmichel, of Boise, Idaho, Steven (Sheryl) Kuehmichel, of Wausau, Kevin (Patricia) Kuehmichel, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Dean (Martha) Kuehmichel, of Spencer; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; and an infant son.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at the Pine Crest Nursing Home Chapel, Merrill. The Rev. R. Brian Stolarczyk will officiate. Burial will take place at Merrill Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Pine Crest Nursing Home Chapel, Merrill.
