Barbara D. Clemmer Bauman

Barbara D. Clemmer Bauman, 79, recently of Merrill, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at St. Claire’s Hospital in Weston.
She was born July 24, 1931, in Peoria, IL. She was the daughter of the late Leslie and Viola (Dempster) Collins. She married Harry L. Clemmer of Peoria, IL, on April 24, 1949. She later married Alan J. Bauman of Tomahawk on Jan. 17, 2001. Both preceded her in death.
Barbara was a member of the University United Methodist Church for many years. She sang in the choir there and later was an active member of the Komatsu Dresser choir. She enjoyed performing with this group for many years. Barbara worked at Komatsu Dresser as a plant manager secretary for 25 years before retiring.
She was an avid fisherman and could catch whatever was biting with the best of them. Barb and Harry enjoyed vacationing in the Tomahawk area for years. They finally achieved a lifetime dream of owning a piece of land in Tomahawk. It was even better that they had access to so much water to fish and had time to make many good friends. Barbara enjoyed traveling, especially if it included fishing.
Barbara is survived by her children, James D. (Cheryl) Clemmer, Karen L. (David) Smith, and Leslie A. (Teresa) Clemmer. She had six grand children, Jereme Smith, Alison Clemmer, Jessica Moss, Ryan Clemmer, Phillip Clemmer, and Lindsey Van Norman. She had six great-grand children, Olivia Cox, Keagan Moss, Jessica Van Norman, London Smith, Kelbie Moss, and Jenner Smith. Barbara is also survived by multiple step-children, step-grand children, and step-great grand children.
Also preceding her in death were her sister, Sharon, and brother-in-law Jack Pass, of Illinois; and her brother, Gordon Collins, of California.
