This summer, Central Wisconsin Children’s Theatre will host 3 drama camps at Prairie River Middle School. The camps are open to kids in Merrill and surrounding areas. All camps include an audition workshop and a performance on the last day of camp. Camps being offered are: “Dora & Diego Camp” this camp is for ages 4-6 and runs from July 18-22 from 10 until noon. Children will rotate through stations to learn vocal, acting and choreography skills. The fee for this camp is $50. Their performance will be on Fri July 22 at 10:30 AM in the Prairie River MS Auditorium. “Drama Camp Rock 2” is for kids between the ages of 7 and 15. While acting is a part of this camp, the main focus is on vocal and choreography skills and will use music popular with today’s “teens”. There is a $100 tuition fee for this camp and tickets will be sold for their performance on Fri July 18 at 7PM in the Prairie River MS Auditorium. “Law & Order: Nursery Rhyme Unit” is a non-musical hilariously “punny” play which spoofs the ever popular Law & Order TV series. This camp is open to kids from 7-15 yrs old and runs July 25-29. Tuition is $100 and tickets will be sold for the Fri July 29 7PM performance at Prairie River MS Auditorium.
