Thomas L. Klug

Thomas L. Klug, age 58, of Merrill, died Thursday, April 28, 2011.
He was born April 13, 1953, in Merrill, son of the late Robert J.B. Klug and Dorothy (Sell) Klug. He married Terry Lou Boes on October 27, 1973. She survives. Tom has work at the former Ward Paper Mill, Merrill, and then at Weyerhauser Paper Mill. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. Tom was an outstanding linebacker in football and catcher in baseball while in high school. He was a member of the Merrill Silver M Club. He coached little league teams for all his children. Tom played county league baseball for the Merrill Giants, and also played in city slow pitch. Tom was an avid Packer, Brewer, Bucks, Badger, and Bluejay fan. He enjoyed spending time at the family “shack” and playing cards. Tom enjoyed cooking for his family, spending time with them, and watching his grandchildren.
Survivors are his wife Terry Klug, Merrill, his three children, Sarah (Joel) Wegner, Ringle, Kristy (Ryan) Yaeger, Clintonville, and Brett (Carmen) Klug, Merrill; grandchildren, Ella, Elijah, Evelyn, Jack, Lucy, and Baby Klug on the way; three sisters, Barbara (Dennis) Hintze, Merrill, Patricia (Richard) Bolder, Gleason, and Jean (Daniel) Meyer, Merrill; one brother, Robert (Kay) Klug, Merrill; a sister in law, Beth Klug, Oshkosh; and his in laws, Ralph (Marge) Boes, Merrill, Sandra Boes, Madison, and Gary Boes, Merrill; and many nieces and nephews. Tom is preceded in death by two siblings, Judith Thrash and David Klug.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 2, 2011, at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. David Szeto will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Merrill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at the church.
