David Dominic Higgins, born April 26, 1948 in Chicago, IL, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2011 at his home in Merrill, WI.
He is survived by his mother, Elsa Higgins of Merrill, brother Norman (Elaine) of Florida, sister Marian (David Burnett) of Texas, fiancee Abby Mais, children Dawn Voss of Arizona, Michelle of Arizona, Michael of Merrill, Amanda Kinne of Texas, Nicholas of Arizona, Tasha Gleason, Savanna and Scarlet, all of Merrill, Cindy Hennessy of Illinois, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles and cousins. David was preceded in death by his father Eugene, brothers Michael and Edward, and son David.
He was a Marine, and a loving and caring father, son, brother and friend. David was loved by many and will be missed by all; his absence will be felt by us forever.
There will be a Celebration of David’s Life on Friday evening, March 11, at the Super 8 Motel Community Room in Merrill beginning at 4 pm.
