Area residents concerned about state issues or experiencing problems with state government will have the opportunity to meet with State Senator Jim Holperin during scheduled office hours in the area.

“Meeting with the people of the 12th Senate District is very important to me,” said Holperin, who encouraged anyone with concerns, questions or advice on current legislation to attend.

“The only way for me to effectively represent our area is if I know what’s on voter’s minds, and these regular office hours give me an opportunity to find out,” he said. Anyone interested in meeting with Senator Holperin or his legislative aides should feel free to attend his Tomahawk session on Friday, Feb. 18 from 1-2 p.m. at the Tomahawk Senior Center, 113 S. Tomahawk Ave.

According to the Northwoods lawmaker, a wide variety of topics, which are important to the north, will be addressed at these sessions. “I always value the input of constituents on issues that are important to them and I appreciate it when folks take time out of their busy schedules to attend,” he concluded.

In the meantime, anyone is welcome to contact Senator Holperin directly at 1-800-334-8773 or [email protected] if they have further questions or concerns.
