“Step Back in Time” with Laura Ingalls Wilder, portrayed by Susan Coady, on Jan. 23 at 1 p.m. in the T. B. Scott Library Youth Services Department (2nd floor).

What was childhood like 100 years ago? How did people communicate and travel? What were life’s challenges and joys?

Come and join “Laura” who will answer those questions and more. Alison and Tom Coady, Susan’s children, will portray 21st century children that visit “Laura” to explore items from her attic.

All in attendance may sign up to win a copy of a Wilder book or a Tastes of Merrill cookbook. Ball and jack sets will be given out while supplies last. Refreshments will be served.

This free program will transport the audience back to the era that corresponds to the opening of Merrill’s Carnegie Library in 1911 at its current location at 106 W. 1st St.
