Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce is launching their new postcard series on Jan. 17 that depicts the four-seasonal changes through landscape photographs. The series is called “Paths Thru The Pines.”
In the fall of 2010 the Chamber launched its first postcard of the five-card series. The original postcard gave a sneak preview of the four-season cards and a brief snap-shot of recreational opportunities available in the Merrill area. The postcards are part of the Chamber’s tourism advertising plan. The newest postcards show the four-seasons coming alive with picturesque beauty through photographs taken by Jayne Thiel of Merrill.
Tourists can experience Merrill’s ‘paths thru the pines’ in person by foot, on bicycles, ATV’s, snowmobiles or horseback. You can camp, swim, boat, fish, snowshoe, ski or hike your way to the waterfalls and scenic trails. And in the fall experience the breathtaking views bursting with color for as far as the eyes can see. Now you can share those experiences with others through the new postcards.
“We are excited to launch the new postcards as the kick-off to our year-long 100th Anniversary celebration,” stated Debbe Kinsey, Chamber Executive Director. “Whether you are able to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Merrill’s ‘paths’ in person or viewing them through these photograph cards, it’s easy to see why we say, ‘in Merrill there is a reason for every season’. Come see for yourself, visit Merrill’s paths thru the pines today.”
The postcards will be on sale for $0.50 each at the Merrill Chamber of Commerce office located at 705 N. Center Ave. For more information contact the Chamber at 715-536-9474 or visit their website at www.merrillchamber.org.
